There are so many things I (Moto) could do but never get to. I'm trying to make 2011 different and will be likely contributing to at least these two groups - Project Healing Waters for military veterans (http://www.projecthealingwaters.org/) and Casting for Recovery for Breast Cancer Patients (http://castingforrecovery.org/). They are both groups that use fly fishing to help heal and both are in need for flies and materials.
For those who don't know, I’ve been an avid fly tier in the past and have recently gotten back into tying. I’m one who loves to try different patterns but with my tournament bass fishing, never get a chance to use them. Thankfully my Dad and one of his friends seem to be in need of flies so many have gone their way.
I do not believe they will be able to use all the flies I am planning on tying this year so decided I need to find a way to give back. That’s when the two mentioned orgs came into my radar on a quick internet search. This is my way to give a little of what I love back to people who have served our country along with those battling a disease that has touched my life.
